Presentation

The little Girl who sold the Sun
Sili lives on the streets of Dakar, needs crutches to move around, and begs where the boys sell newspapers. One morning, one of the young newsagents shoves her to the ground! While struggling to get back up, and in order to forget her humiliation, she decides to sell newspapers, like everybody else. When a unique little girl challenges the boys' prerogative!

Madagascar, a Journey Diary
The travel diary of a western traveler who encounters strange Malagasy customs. Surprised by the dances and zebu sacrifices he witnesses, he soon comes to understand the importance of the cult of the elders. An animation film in which the pages of the diary turn, the drawings animate, and the audience enter the lush landscapes of this island and its foreign culture.

Come meet Bastien Dubois, director, on 17 July.

Odd Jobs in Kinshasa
Samurel, the hero of a 9-episode series, leads us along with his friend Yasmine on an exploration of the odd jobs that make Kinshasa such a lively and vibrant city. Through portraits of a voltigeur, a newsagent, a camiste, or an egg dealer, this film invites us to discover the biggest French-speaking megalopolis in the world.
