Presentation

For over 20 years, the Congo War has claimed the lives of over 6 million people, and war criminals have never been judged. For The Congo Tribunal, Milo Rau managed to bring together victims, perpetrators, witnesses, and experts on the Congo War to create a unique civil court. For the first time since the start of the war, three cases are to be tried. In the heart of the civil war, in secluded villages and inaccessible mining areas, this film paints an uncompromising portrait of this violent war.
