Encounter about

SAIGON

Our faces are the maps of our childhood.

In a Vietnamese restaurant in which coexist at once the France of 2017 and the Saigon of 1954 meet, for the first time or not, a number of characters. Points of view, personal worlds, languages... Within themselves they carry the marks left by the changes of our world, of its movement, its geography, its history. Caroline Guiela Nguyen brings together eleven French and Vietnamese actors to draw a human map from their diverse voices. Like an impressionist painting made up of countless tiny points, SAIGON reveals itself as a landscape, if you but take a step back: France as it tells its story beyond its own borders.
