Oskaras Koršunovas

Born in 1969 in Lithuania, Oskaras Koršunovas is a theatre and opera director. He has produced over sixty shows, adapting Russian authors like Mikhail Bulgakov or Daniil Kharms, contemporary writers such as Sarah Kane or Marius von Mayenburg, as well as classic authors. He founded the independent theatre Oskaro Koršunovo Teatras (OKT) in 1999. He describes his nervous and physical theatre as a mirror to life, as a tool to know oneself and our society. Otelas is his seventh adaptation of Shakespeare, and his sixth play performed at the Festival d'Avignon.
