Presentation

Pippo Delbono has taken the title of his show from Rimbaud's verses and makes them resonate with the writings of his masters, the fervent poets of the 20th century, among them Pasolini, Artaud, Eliot and Whitman. He has thereby composed an incantatory narrative put to music by Alexander Balanescu. Like “cries of the soul”, the violin's notes join the heartrending words uttered on the stage. Between the experience of death and the desire to live, they compose a four-handed concert for all men and women. For the living, but also for the absent, those who have already left this world. Pippo Delbono has already presented seven shows at the Festival d'Avignon.
