Presentation

Utopia.doc is a political film about cultural, geographical, and human borders, and about being a foreigner or wanting to leave, to break free—for real or through fiction.

This film about migratory flows was born of the research conducted in 2013 by Christiane Jatahy during the creation of her show “What if they went to Moscow”, halfway between theatre and cinema, in Paris, Frankfurt, and São Paulo...

She filmed regular people from all over the world, all answering the same seven questions about their lives, their utopias, their dreams...

In each city, those encounters lead to deep and moving dialogues about personal histories and about the world.
