Encounter about "JAMAIS ASSEZ" (Never enough)

JAMAIS ASSEZ

It all began with the Onkalo project, a colossal construction site that opened ten years ago in Finland, with work to be concluded within a century. The goal of this outrageous project? To create a repository for spent nuclear fuel usable for the next 100,000 years. Then came Michael Madsen's Into Eternity, a documentary about the technical and philosophical challenge that is Onkalo, which also questions our collective ability to imagine our future as a species. From those two subjects, the construction site and the documentary dedicated to it, both material and visual perceptions (holes, hollows, voids, but also density, walls, distance, etc.), choreographer Fabrice Lambert intends to work on the notions of time, of our relationship to energy, of the power of masses. Along with a group of ten dancers, he works with the idea of multitude and turns an accumulation of men into a construction site where, through excellence and addition, they are able to question the very notion of Never enough.

FABRICE LAMBERT

After having worked as a dancer with many choreographers (Carolyn Carlson, Catherine Diverrès, Rachid Ouramdane, etc.), Fabrice Lambert started working as a choreographer himself in 1996. He is now the artistic director of the Expérience Harmaat, a place of research about phenomena and movement. His latest creation, Nervures, a collaboration with visual artist Xavier Veilhan, notably played at the Théâtre de la Ville, in Paris. Fabrice Lambert is artist-in-residence at the Central National de la Danse.
